Introduction

The Sensible Universe Model proposes a five-dimensional framework where human senses—Hearing, Smell, Sight, Taste, and Touch—function as metaphysical dimensions that define and construct reality.

Unlike traditional physical models of space-time, this model envisions a universe where perception shapes existence, with each sense contributing a unique aspect of reality.

The fifth dimension, Touch, serves as the unification factor, integrating the sensory dimensions into a cohesive whole.

This chapter introduces the model, grounded in the Greek phrase “Νιώθω, αφή και αγγίζω” (“I feel, aware, and I touch”), which encapsulates the process of sensory unification through touch. We explore each dimension’s role and how Touch, as “Localization and Unity, Completion,” binds them into a singular, sensible reality.

The Sensible 5D Universe: A Sensory Framework

In the Sensible 5D Universe, the five human senses are not mere biological tools but dimensions that structure existence, much like spatial or temporal dimensions in physics. Each sense contributes a distinct quality to reality, and their interplay forms the “whole” of perception.

The dimensions are ordered as follows:

1. Hearing: Singularity of Creation Field Resonance Foundations
2. Smell: Emergence and Consciousness
3. Sight: Modulation: Form
4. Taste: Structure, Time and Boundaries
5. Touch: Localization and Unity, Completion

This model draws inspiration from Greek philosophy, particularly Aristotle’s view of touch as the most universal sense, and phenomenological ideas where perception defines reality. The Greek phrase “Νιώθω, αφή και αγγίζω” serves as a poetic and philosophical guide, emphasizing touch’s role in unifying sensory experience.

The Five Dimensions

1. Hearing: Singularity of Creation Field Resonance Foundations

Hearing, the first dimension, is the foundational layer of the Sensible Universe, represented by the symbol “•” (c dot), evoking a singularity—a point of origin where creation begins. Hearing perceives vibrational resonance, such as sound waves, which are the universe’s primal energy.

This dimension establishes the “creation field,” the vibrational foundation from which reality emerges.

For example, the hum of a tuning fork or the cosmic background radiation can be seen as echoes of this singularity, setting the stage for sensory existence.

2. Smell: Emergence and Consciousness

Smell, the second dimension, is associated with “Emergence and Consciousness.” It captures the essence of the universe, evoking memory, emotion, and awareness.

Smell is intangible yet profound, triggering the emergence of subjective consciousness. 

When we inhale the scent of rain or a loved one’s perfume, we connect to the universe’s intrinsic qualities, awakening the self to its place in reality.

This dimension marks the transition from primal resonance to conscious perception.

3. Sight: Modulation: Form

Sight, the third dimension, is tied to “Modulation: Form,” representing the perception of spatial structure and patterns.

Sight modulates light into forms—shapes, colors, and volumes—giving the universe its visible architecture.

This dimension allows us to perceive the three-dimensional world, from the curve of a mountain to the geometry of a crystal.

Sight provides the framework for spatial understanding, shaping the universe’s form.

4. Taste: Structure, Time and Boundaries

Taste, the fourth dimension, is associated with “Structure, Time and Boundaries.”

Taste unfolds over time, as flavors linger or evolve, and defines boundaries between self and other. It connects to memory and temporality, evoking past experiences or anticipating future ones. Tasting a childhood dish, for instance, bridges time, structuring experience within temporal boundaries.

This dimension adds dynamism and delineation to the universe.

5. Touch: Localization and Unity, Completion

Touch, the fifth dimension, is the unification factor, described as “Localization and Unity, Completion.” 

Touch localizes the abstract qualities of the other dimensions—resonance (hearing), consciousness (smell), form (sight), and time (taste)—into a tangible, cohesive experience.

It is reciprocal: when we touch, we are also touched, creating a union between self and universe.

Touch completes the sensory experience, synthesizing inputs into a unified reality. For example, touching a rose integrates its sound (rustling leaves), scent (essence), shape (form), and flavor (time) into a singular moment of connection. Including emotion and feeling.

The Role of Touch: The Unifying Dimension

Touch’s role as the fifth dimension is central to the Sensible Universe. Its reciprocal nature—physical and metaphorical—makes it uniquely suited to unify the senses.

In Greek, the verb “αγγίζω” (I touch) can mean emotional or spiritual connection, as in “Η μουσική με άγγιξε” (“The music touched me”). This dual capacity allows touch to bridge the physical (e.g., feeling texture) and existential (e.g., connecting emotionally), localizing the universe’s dimensions into a complete experience.
 
 The phrase “Νιώθω, αφή και αγγίζω” outlines this unifying process:

• Νιώθω (I feel): The subjective experience of perceiving all dimensions, from the resonance of hearing to the temporality of taste. It encompasses sensory and emotional “feeling,” the starting point of engagement with the universe.
• Αφή (Touch): The sense of touch as a dimension, the abstract faculty that enables unification. It is the medium through which the other senses are grounded.
• Αγγίζω (I touch): The active act of touching, which localizes and completes the sensory experience, achieving “union” by connecting the self to the universe’s dimensions.

For instance, when touching a bell, we feel its vibration (hearing’s singularity), smell its metallic essence (consciousness), see its shape (form), and taste its surface (time and boundaries). Touch unifies these into a single, complete experience, embodying the “whole (1) of touch, sense, feel.”
