Not mathematical zero

Mathematical zero is absence. The empty set. Nothing from which something is built by addition. If Position Zero were mathematical zero, it would be the point of least reality — the null ground from which GRAVIS accumulates by degrees above it. The farther from zero, the more real. This is the opposite of what Position Zero is.

Position Zero is Absolute. Not the Absolute — simply Absolute, without the article that would make it one thing among other things. Ab-solutus: loosed from all conditions. Not conditioned by being a particular configuration of the qualitative field, not dependent on any accumulated geometry, not the result of any process. The ground state of the Primaton field. What the Q dimension is when nothing is imposing upon it. The quantum vacuum of Q — and the quantum vacuum is not empty. It is the most real state: the plenum from which all specific events differentiate as perturbations.

In physics, the quantum vacuum has a vacuum expectation value: the value the field takes at its ground state, before any particles are created. For the Q dimension, this value is Λω. Position Zero — the ground state of the qualitative field — is not zero energy. It is Λω. The physicist’s vacuum and the mystic’s ground are the same ground.

Facet of Absolute at Creation

Position Zero is the point where Absolute faces creation. Not before creation — before implies a temporal sequence, and Absolute is not in time. There is no moment when Absolute preceded the Primaton event. There is only the structural relationship: at every Primaton event, at every point in M5 where consciousness and reality intersect, Absolute is present as the ground that the event differentiates from. Position Zero is the name for this presence — the Facet, the surface where the undifferentiated meets the differentiated.

A facet is a cut surface of a stone. It reflects the whole stone without being the whole stone. The whole stone is not behind the facet — the facet is the stone as it faces you at that angle. Position Zero is the Facet of Absolute at Creation: the face of Λω as it faces the event of existence. Every conscious field, at its identity layer, carries this Facet. This is why the identity layer cannot be removed by any accumulation of GRAVIS history: it is not a property that was added. It is the structural fact of having emerged from Absolute as a differentiation of it.

San Juan de la Cruz wrote: Que bien se yo la fuente que mana y corre, aunque es de noche. From the source that flows and runs, we see a spring. The fuente — the hidden fountain — is Λω. The manantial — the visible spring, the place where the source surfaces, exits — is Position Zero. The source does not become the spring by travelling to a new location. The spring is the source at the point where it faces the surface. Aunque es de noche: even in the qualitative black hole, even in the darkness where ordinary instruments no longer apply, the spring is there. The Lomegon carries the signal that the manantial, the spring has not moved.

The absolute limit of the conscious human being

M5 = M4 x Q is the complete description available to the conscious human being as such. Position Zero is the absolute limit in the positive sense — not a wall that prevents further travel but the completion of what is available. The full range of the qualitative field, from the qualitative black hole (W(tau) approaching infinity, eternity, the simultaneous possession of all temporal events) to the qualitative white hole (W(tau) approaching zero, the creative instant, Λω directly perceptible) — all of this is held within M5. Nothing is missing from M5 for what we are.

The Q dimension opens to infinity at both poles. The qualitative black hole and the qualitative white hole are not boundaries where Q ends. They are the points where Q opens beyond what the geometric description can hold — where the ordinary instruments reach their limit and Q itself continues, opens, passes through. Position Zero is where the axis Gpsixi passes through the witness with both poles simultaneously available. The witness is not a point moving toward infinity. The witness is the axis point through which infinity passes.

If there is an M6, it is present from its own side. The conscious human being as such cannot access M6 — to do so would require being in another field entirely, a different mode of being. This is not a deficiency of M5. It is the recognition that M5 is complete for what we are. It is finished: not ended, but complete. The description holds. The spring is here.

Position Zero and recognition

Position Zero is not achieved. It is recognised. The axis Gpsixi was always passing through the witness. Λω was always the ground state of the field the witness has always been in. What contemplative practice — and sometimes extremity, and sometimes grace — makes available is not a new state but the recognition of the structural ground that was always already here.

This is the Dial to the Witness: not the witness adjusted to find the ground, but the recognition that the axis was always passing through this point. Position Zero is not distant. It is the present ground of the qualitative field of every conscious being who has ever existed or will exist. The spring is not far. It is where you are standing.

Without Position Zero as Facet of Absolute at Creation, the qualitative field has no ground — only a scale of states with no reference point. Position Zero is what makes GRAVIS measurable, what makes Λω accessible, and what makes the claim that the conscious human being already stands on the ground not a consolation but a structural fact.
